My next artist is Joan Fontcuberta, his work aims to sow doubt and distrust around the authority of photography. He's had these fictitious presentations in all of his work from creating photo realistic landscapes using a combination of pre-existing images. To documentary style work where he discovers fictitious animals out on his 'explorations'. He describes his work as if its real with real descriptions and postcodes but is all just a way of him challening the truth.

I started by gathering natural materials such as moss, stones, grass, mud, and sticks. Then, to act as a body for my scene, I built a box structure out of foam board and chicken wire. I first layed out my materials to create this forest-like effect, which I'd utilise to stage my farce.
I then filmed these close-up videos of my scene with an SLR camera and a variety of angles and viewpoints, all with the goal of capturing these believable shots. This was difficult since I had to try recording from a variety of different angles to make it look more authentic, such as hoisting the structure up so that it was on an angle, and so on.
I decided to use iMovie to edit together several clips to produce documentary-styled videos as a form of development. Different transitions, audios, and speeds were used to enhance the credibility of the clips.

As further development, using the same sculpture, I created these small scale landscapes using the softwear PolyCam. This allowed me to create these immersive clips allowing for the viewer to be taken into the scene. I experimented with different paths through my sculpture as well as the different views which would be seen.
